B.Gold NYC - Test Shoot (by BGOLDNYC)
As part of my creative process, I like to shoot friends in my new pieces before I decide on final edits and alterations. The items then head to either one of our retail stores or off to shot on location.
All pieces from this video are available for purchase at Tokyo7 in the East Village of NYC.

— MaderaMetal is a rock/pop band. (Met them through my brother)
I had the opportunity to be in their music video for their new single “Abrazado a ti”
We shot in the end on December. It was fun :-) .. Even when I had to be out in the cold…pretending not to be cold. LOL!
You can check out the band here!- http://www.maderametal.com/
The guys in the band are really talented and down to earth.
They have a music video out- from their first single “Matar Recuerdos” - check it out!
- You can also check out their EPK & get to know the band! (It’s in Spanish though)
—I can’t wait for the music video to come out. I had so much fun with the cast and crew. Here’s a tiny preview!

I got referred to David Topper - “Haus of Topper” designer a few months back through Facebook.
I took a look at his work & I fell in love… AT FIRST SIGHT.
I’m extremely picky when it comes to jewelry and accessories & I wanted about one of everything on his etsy account. (http://www.etsy.com/shop/HausofTopper)
SO… here’s how I met David.
I was looking for designers to feature in the Fall fashion show for Bronx Community College’s Top Models Club. He was interested in having his accessories featured. (YAY!) I mentioned to him that we were having a photo shoot and I would’ve love to feature his jewelry with some of the models (something like that).
He was so nice & cool about it- we arrange to meet up so I can get some of the jewelry.
I went with the president of the modeling club Nurys. When we met David, he was super duper nice & funny… The pieces he was lending us for the shoot were AMAZING!
Anyways, before I go on and on . I’m just going to show some of the pictures (featuring some of the TMC models and myself)

LOL! My 1st Birthday.
Growing up in the late 80’s and early 90’s I’m pretty sure I wasn’t the only girl dressed like this for her birthday party!
This was for my art history Final.. (I got an A on it btw! WOOP WOOP).
Well, for the final we had to pick an art period that we had covered during the semester and incorporate it with our major. My major is Fashion Marketing and Merchandising. I chose the Expressionism Era. I decided to do a photo shoot inspired by the painting “The Scream” by Edvard Munch(1893).
We also had to write an artist statement.
Here is my artist statement:
" The art period I chose for my project was the Expressionism era. The Expressionism Era took place during the beginning of the 20th century. It originated in Germany. Artists in this era wanted to express meaning or emotional experience instead of painting things that were physically real. The painting that I used as inspiration for this project (The Scream by Edvard Munch) inspired 20th century Expressionists. The painting was from the 19th century during the Symbolism Era. The art from the Symbolism Era was a reaction against naturalism and realism. There was a lot of dream like and fantasy imagery.
My concept is recreating the painting “The Scream”. The painting represents anxiety and fear. The character in the painting has his hands on his face. I wanted to recreate the painting in a photo shoot. The models would be dressed in black. The photographer will capture the moments of the models screaming or acting like they are in fear or frustrated.
Since my major is fashion marketing and merchandising I had the models wearing accessories. The photo shoot will be to advertise an accessory line. “
Here is the finished Product….
